Looking 4 PC space-galaxy game with own battleship... not gay fighter or trekky...recommendations?

I am looking for a space game that is COOL and good graphics where you can command or fly a giant space ship or cruiser.... not a gay fighter or tug boat or small yaht... but an actual battle-ship...
So far to my knoweldge NO such games exist apart from Star Trek bridge commander... but i dont want that.
Sea Dogs and Sea Dogs 2 is all about ships, and you can build or command a HUGE ass pirate ship to take on several corvettes... that's what i want... but in space.
Any ideas?
