Boat High Wind Has anyone noticed more strange things are happening on Cruise Ships lately?
I always thought taking a Cruise is a way of having some peace, quiet and relaxing times, but more tragic events seem to be happening recently.
People jumping overboard (anyone from the newly young married ones to senior citizens).
People getting sexually assulted on board and the FBI is called.
People getting ill due to food contamination or a bad flu bug.
A walking plank attached to the ship comes undone due to high winds and crashes into the water as people were still walking on it.
I know that you never know when things might happen at anytime and anywhere, but it still makes you wonder......I have always been scared of flying, so I don't want to be nervous about being on a ship.
Have any of you had freightening experiences while traveling by plane, boat, train, bus?
Goldie....OH NO! Don't cancel your trip!! The chances of anything really bad happening are slim to nothing. Keep your plans and go ahead with them.
I travel long distances only by car now. I won't fly again and I do not intend to. Just to much hassle now days and I am impatient. Cruise ships are having a bit more attention with the viral outbreaks and man over board issues. Little unnerving. Travel was one of the reasons to move home after retirement to be closer to family and I will take advantage of that.
I live in a state that has much to offer for short travel so that is a good thing.
