How can I get my Diablo 2 LoD to Uninstall?

I installed the beta patch a while back and ever since then I have been having problems with Diablo 2 LoD. For instance when I go to start it up, in the top left hand corner of my screen, there's numbers that count to 9 from 0, then goes through the alphabet in caps, then in lower case, before it will start up, ******* weird right? So when I tried to un-install it, the Uninstaller wasn't there... can't find it, and can't figure out how to un-install it. Revo Uninstaller can't find out how to un-install it, Windows unistaller can't find it either. I can play on single-player but not Battlenet, says that it cant identify my version. Help me out here...

So you are saying that the Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel isn't finding Diablo II:LoD as a program so that you can uninstall it that way? Dang...and with the official uninstaller that came with the game out of commission, I hate to say it, but I think that the only way that you could kinda "uninstall" it is to delete the folder that contains D2:LOD. Please note that this does not actually uninstall it; it just removes the folder from your computer, which could give you a clean slate to re-install it and possibly get either uninstallers to work so that you can uninstall it properly. If, after you re-install it after following this advice, and it still does not work, contact Blizzard's Technical Support hotline to get more help
