What would deter you from speeding in your car/truck/SUV/boat?

What I'm trying to figure out for a personal project is...
Would you pay attention to speed if there was no consequences? The speed limit is posted, but it's not enforced.
Not much, I drive fast - only when it is safe to do so - because I enjoy it, nothing will change that.

Is it possible you just drove your boat into a restricted water zone? I know there are areas that are kind of for the military that cause you to get 5 stars upon breaching them. for example, If you fly a jetpack to get to the abandoned airstrip and end up flying near the military base you automatically get 5 stars and they start shooting missiles at you.
