Engine Powered Airplane

how does aircraft engines suck air without filters while gas engine at power station need a strong filtration?
my point is that while take off and landing there are more chances of birds and other flying things to stuck the engine compressor blades, damaging them. In industrial gas turbines there is a very strong two stage filtration (inertial filters/ fine aair filters) but in aeroplane engines why none are present and the compressor blades are exposed barely to the atmosphere?
Jet engines are tested for "bird ingestion" (using dead or anesthetized birds) as part of engine qualification (perhaps not for similar models). The engines must remain intact. Airplanes fly at very high elevations where the air is cleaner than at a power plant subject to wind storms. A power plant can afford the extra weight of a filter system that would perhaps not fly. An airliner once flew through the dust plume of a volcano (at night?) which snuffed out all (four?) engines at high elevation. Luckily, the engines restarted after considerable effort on the part of the pilots. Engine designers are concerned with the intake of fine dust into an engine that could perhaps get into bearings, etc. Experience dictates adequate solutions to the problem. Each engine design has a TBO (time between overhaul) that is lengthened with experience and complete dismantling of the engine allows evaluation of the effects of dust, etc. to maintain safety.

Aviation experts: Which types of airplane are inherently unsafe?
Yes I know all types of commerical airplane are supposed to be extremely safe, but surely it is the case that some are inherently less safe than others by design.
A few examples:
Aircraft with outwards opening cargo doors.
Single and twin-engine aircraft with a poor power-to-weight ratio.
T-tail aircraft.
Get my drift?
So can someone give me a list of aircraft that the paranoid flyer should avoid?
Just remember, the video on youtube of the auto pilot crashing the jet into the trees...that was an air bus. That airliner that crashed in New York, after shedding the vertical stabilizer... also an air bus. See where I'm going with this?
Anyway, back to the question at hand. Every airplane is safe, when operated within it's intended performance envelope. Fly a plane equipped for vfr only into ifr conditions, and it's unsafe. All of the things you've listed are untrue, as there are certain safety and performance standards around which all aircraft are designed and built. I've got 450 hours in a seminole (T-tailed twin) and the company I was flying them for uses them exclusively for over 15k flight hours per year on all of the airframes combined. Their only loss was when one was flipped on the ramp in a hurricane.
