How does dry gas affect a gasoline engine?
I was once told by my mechanic that since I didn't drive my car much I should add a bottle of dry gas every fill up.I fill my car up once every 2 months.I have never had any bad results with this and have been doing it for years.
I recently had water in my gas in my lawn mower(probably due to condensation)and was told by the repairman not to add dry gas to the gas because of plastic and rubber parts.
Is this any different from a car due to the size of engine.
Same proportions of dry gas to gas.
Dry gas is mostly methanol or ethanol, so it's similar to using gasohol. If you can use gasohol in your mower, it should be safe enough to use dry gas in similar proportions, usually up to 10%, but don't add it to gasohol, which would serve no purpose.
