Kyosho Traxxas
My RC car took off by itself. Anyone know why?
I have a kyosho buggy with a traxxas velineon brushless and ESC combo. just recently when i hit the accelerator, the dam thing decided to take off by itself? is it the ESC or the radio receiver? The car never did this before i got the velineon put in there so im guessing its the ESC. Any possible reason why it would take off by itself? Any suggestions on how to fix it? And yes i definitaley am going to ask my local hobby shop.
Most electric speed controls will react differently to certain radios and receivers that you are using. However, you could be on the same frequency as someone else and that might cause your vehicle to go hay-wire. There is also another chance that you turned on your vehicle first and then you turned on your radio. Some electric speed controls think they are in charge of finding a frequency/receiver to connect to. This information is also true for all frequencies. (aka... 2.4ghz DSSS, 2.4ghz FHSS, FM, & AM.)
Another possible suspect might be that your electric speed control hasn't been programmed yet. The links below should help you program your electric speed control/etc:
