Mini Sub Boat Why doesn't the UN or tanker countries supply protection for the ships that the pirates attack?
Some reports say that they have gotten over $100 million in payoffs to let the ships go, so wouldn't it be cheaper to have a blockade or some ships sail along plus helicopters. That much cash can buy a ton of protection. Maybe that would be considered arrogant.
Then again some mini subs could go out and shoot mini deals at the tiny boats. Sure seems nutty and been going on a long time, wonder why it has been allowed to go on this long?
Well just what I thought. Although I did have a fellow that said he was a UN trooper or one of the guys that goes and hangs in the fox hole keeping peace and then antoher felow I know said they were going through a checkpoint and one of the guys shot the Swiss guy in the chest,but he had on a protective vest. just to show he could. This was in Boosnia.

The real question is Why does not the world community go in there and wipe out that nest of pirates, thereby not having to consider protecting ships of any nation. Cut the Head off of the Snake, then it cannot bite you and it dies.
