77 Ford Mud Bogg Monster truck steering ideas?
-Deuce and a half frame cut down rear axle moved to ford wheelbase
-77 ford f100 reg cab long box(ford body and frame on top of deuce frame)
-rear diff on huge1948 ford flatbed heavy duty rear leafs
-mated t case to an international 1 ton unmated for torque
-460 4bbl +++++
Okay so i know alot of people go full hydraulic steering on these, but i want to drive mine on the street alot and be legal-ish
so i want the feedback feel from the road. So I have chevy format steer box and pump etc from a winnebago motorhome! it turned the wheels with little wheel effort sitting parked and idling! soo with that much weight would that setup turn my michelin military 46 inch 277 pound a peice tires?
OR should I go to the semi junkyard and grab a steer box and pump etc from one of those? That would HAVE to be powerful enough, and quality cause of their work load and use, plus easy to get parts for?
or do I have to go hydraulic...?

The motorhome steering parts should be very heavy duty, but your tires will put alot of leverage on the steering parts. If you want this truck to be kinda street legal, I don't think full hydraulics will be. Call Midwest Four Wheel Drive and ask them. That's Bigfoot's home, and it's about 50 miles from my home.

NEED HELP truck lovers... 1984 Chevy Silverado good idea or no?
hi, im looking at a 1984 chevy silverado (lifted) not sure how much of a lift but im 6ft and can just barely see into the windows from the ground... its got some thick meaty tires on it and the engine runs good. its got a 350 under the hood this things like a small monster truck lol not gonna lie its got some rust on the side panels but other wise the body looks to be in great shape what do you think about this deal the guy wants $3,700 for it which i thought was not a bad price give me your input everyone

I don't know what allen is talking about. AN 84 chevy silverado is not the same as a 91, they are two totally different trucks.
As for the price of the truck, it sounds about right depending on the suspension upgrades. This is a good work horse, but with big tires the gas mileage will be about 8mpg, if your lucky.
These trucks that show any body rust should have the under carriage checked, this includes the frame, cross members, fuel tanks and fuel tank straps. The primary fuel tank is on the drivers side and usually has a plastic shield that goes around the bottom of the tank. This shield can trap water and road dirty in between it and the tank causing the tank to rust out and leak from a spot that is not easy to locate because it is hidden by this shield.
I would also check your local laws concerning how high the vehicle can sit before it is illegal. Some states, counties, and cities have laws that govern how high a vehicles bumper can be of the ground and how much of a difference between the front and rear bumper heights.

I like them both and think that people should let the both people with big rimso or monster trucks have their fun and enjoy themselves everytime they ride in their trucks
They even have parents who volunteer to help out with the door-opening and general process.My daughter (toddler) rides on the right side of the car, and this causes immense confusion EVERY TIME. Though they can see that she is obviously not a grade school student, they still stare at her in perplexity and try the door handle. Meanwhile, my son is trying to get out of the OTHER side of the car, into the flow of Durangos whipping around me within an inch of my paint, which – by the way – is against 'the rules.' We wait our turn, see. Not everyone, of course. Some of us apparently have an appointment at the day spa.ANYWAY, I actually HAVE to get out of my car and assist my son out because the idiots manning the carpool cannot seem to comprehend that a car has two sides to it. So I am unfortunately one of those folks who sometimes holds up the line but only because everyone else is stupid.
Oh, and we have two lanes leading out into the main road – directly across from a very busy YMCA so it's a snarling disaster to go left OR right – and I always get Mommy Navigator pulling up to go left, the immense grill of her GIGANTIC truck out in traffic, full-on blocking my view so that I wind up holding up the right-turning lane. Yet I sense the SUVs behind me are vilifying me for not being one of them and driving something on monster-truck tires so that I COULD see my way out.Obviously, I have issues.
