whats wrong with my nitro car!?
so i have a nitro 4 tec. its the old one. (the nitro 4tec 2.5) and im planing to race this weekend against my friends car on the street. but i havent used it in a while and now it seems to be broken. the engine runs, the steering works, but when i give the car some throttle, it wont move. i think this is because when i look at the car ( from the side view, viewing the long drive belt which powers the front wheels, there are 2 big sprockets in the back, towards the rear wheel, and then there is only 1 small sprocket coming off the actual drive shaft from the engine, but there is still more room on the drive shaft that looks like it could fit another sprocket on. i have some pictures in the links posted below

The two larger gears are the spur gears. They are for 1st and 2nd gear. The smaller gear on the engine is the pinion gear, and there is only supposed to be one gear there. Without being able to see the pic (password required) my guess is that the clutch is toast and needs the shoes replaced. It's a cheap fix, but takes some know how. Maybe your local hobby shop will replace them for you if you're not sure how to do it.

how do i get my 2009 Tomos Nitro 50cc scooter to go faster (illegally or legally i don't care)?
right now it goes around 32-35 i've heard that taking a governor off could get some more power but i don't know where that would be.
Tomos is the licensed built Slovenia made old Steyr-Puch. Check the hot rodding of Puch engines and get the 70cc big bore ,high compression piston(about 8.5/1) and exhaust system, slightly larger carb. This would in most places require a 'motorcycle' instead of 'moped' plate and probably a motorcycle drivers license. Puch made this for some markets as a light motorcycle. Moped Army article about a Dutch rider who did this and had lots of fun for a year- then got caught by police and had 'moped' confiscated. Indian made Hero brand copy uses the 70cc low compression engine and is not governed I read in domestic market. UK has some people tuning pre 1973 Puch Maxis to go faster legally- loophole in the law-, no speed restriction on the earlier made models until traffic laws changed in 1973 or so, earlier registered models grandfathered in not restricted. Puch 50cc unrestricted does about 40, 70cc does about 50-55mph.
