Nitro Powered Rc Cars
I was in the same small room as a running nitro-powered rc car - will I be ok?
I've heard that you can go blind from inhaling the fumes, or drinking of nitro fuel. I have a headache which is right at the back of my head and a sore throat.. but my vision is ok. I'm finding it hard to work out whether this is as a result of the cold weather.. or if it's the fact I was in a 4x4 room with one of these rc cars for 3-4 minutes inhaling the fumes
I'm not a doctor but you'd probably have to been in that room for a lot longer than a few minutes to do any permanent damage. It is recommended to have adequate ventilation when running a nitro rc car as with any motorized vehicle. I wouldn't do that on a regular basis just to be safe. You might advise whoever was running the rc car of the potential risks of doing so without ventilation. If there is a window I'd open it & put a small fn pointing out to draw fumes out of the room. If there are no windows I'd find another place to work on the rc car.

Hi, i got a rc car powered by nitro fuel?
i was playing with it in a closed area, so the smoke of it filled the area, i heard that inhaling nitro fuel cause blindness, even if its inhaled as smke burnt out from the rc car? im so worried atm, thank you
Well it's been two days... blind yet?
If not, then you are probably safe.
Don't Google it - Google will only tell you that you have Cancer or something...
Just don't do it again.
