Plane Boat Mini car, boat, (motorcycle), plane, scooter, battery question?
hello im trying to figure out how to get some kind of battery adapter for my mini motorcycle to power my small speakers in my motorcycle. all im trying to look for is a battery adapter that gets the power of the small battery and at the end of this specific battery adapter if there's even one that's even been invented before to just make the other end of the adapter have a output like the one in a wall of a house. if anyone has one of these "adapters" please tell me were u got it and the name of the adapter .. in small word for the whole summery of my question is
where can i find a car battery adapter that has an outlet like a house would have in its walls
Your wall in the house is 115v AC if you are in the U.S.
Your Speakers probably had an adapter making DC from your wall power with an adapter sometimes called a "Wall- Wart"..
Where your wall wart plugs into your speakers is a little diagram and some letters and words.
"(-" Or a circle with a dot in the middle with lines or wires coming out indicating "+" or "-" going to the inside middle pin or the outside ground casing. that is polarity.
then is something that says voltage like 6V DC. that is 6 volts of DC power. (if it says AC you are screwed, cant do that with a battery.
there may also me some numbers and words indicating how much power would be needed such as "500 ma" or 500 milliamps.
So you look at your device and determine the voltage of the battery you need, then go to batteries plus or radioshack and ask for that voltage battery pack and that kind of connector.
If you are lucky, your speakers will say 6v 9v or 12 v. then things are very easy.
Radio shack also sells a devise that will convert your 12v battery to any voltage below 12volts.
