Powered Monster
Plug the Monster Power HTS 2600 MKII into my APS UPS, or vice versa?
I am going to purchase the Monster Power HTS 2600 MKII Power Center (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-MnvXFNy4hf2/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=24000&I=1192600MK2&search=monster+power). I already own the APC Uninterruptible Power Supply. Do I plug the UPS into the wall outlet and then the Power Center into the UPS, or do I plug the Power Center into the wall outlet and then the UPS into the Power Center?
I had the same dilemna 4 months ago and decided to connect the monster into my UPS .Been working fine , Volts and amps dont fluctuate as much as plugging the monster directly into outlet .I use my monster for a rear projector so this way am assured even if there's a power failure , the lamp inside the projector will have power from my UPS to cool down lamp .

Monster power center?
i just bought a new HDTV 50 inch, and i am looking for the monster power center(do i really need it or no? My Friend told me that i need one so i am trying buy one but i don't really know how good it is). Do anybody know which one is good? I l looked on amazon and found out this one:"Monster Reference PowerCenter HTS 2500 MKII with Clean Power Stage 2 v.2.0 Clean Power, 10 outlets, 3 coax, 1 phone (MP HTS 2500 MKII) ". Is this a good one? Thank you
You are going to get a lot of responses that talk about how much improved the picture is due to the stabilization of the current blah, blah, blah... In reality there is truth in the fact that conditioning(cleaning) the flow of electrical current will allow your equipment to perform at the optimal level. That said, most manufacturers have designed their equipment to perform well in various yet, less than ideal conditions. The sum total of that wisdom is that you may or may not see a difference in real time. Even though you may not see a difference you could actually be extending the life of your equipment. The great benefit to one of these devices (Panamax makes a good product as well) is the surge protection that can prevent serious damage from spikes or fall-outs of current. Many of the products come with a warranty on the device as well as the equipment that is connected however, I have never known anyone who had to make a claim so be careful and read the small print. All in all, I don't think that you would be making a bad choice with "PowerCenter" but check fine print on the warranty. One last thing, if you are a cable subscriber be sure to take the cable to the "PowerCenter" before the TV; most lightning damage comes through the cable feed.
