In indycar and Nascar which used fixed cars (all the same) are weight advantages?
a driver has negated by adding additional weights ? Say an indycar racer weighs only 100lbs, are weights added to his car so he doesnt have an edge over an 150 lbs driver ?
use fixed cars
all racing has a minimum weight that the vehicles have to weigh at the beginning of the race,however a driver that weighs 150 pounds has more of an advantage than one who weighs 200 pounds because the crew can place the extra 50 pounds on the chassis so it can transfer the weight better.why do you think you dont see many 200 pound drivers in formula one or indy car.

But no one thought this was a fair fight. Biedermann acknowledged that his polyurethane version gave him an edge over Phelps, who stuck with his once-revolutionary LZR Racer.
Phelps' coach even threatened to pull his star from future international meets unless the governing body acts with more urgency to get rid of suits that have rendered the record book obsolete.
Biedermann said "I hope there will be a time when I can beat Michael Phelps without these suits. I hope next year."
Phelps lost because he wasn't in a very good shape! It has nothing to do with the suits! Even if the suits give a slight increase, Phelps chose not to wear one. Biedermann was better and won against Phelps because he's younger and in a better shape. Don't forget that Bidermann also set a world record! Biedermann is better when it comes to freestyle.
