Rtr Short Course
I need advice on R/C Buggy and/or Airplane!!?
I'm thinking about buying a RTR off-road buggy or a RTF airplane (probably a glider) but can't decide which one to get. I live on a par 4 golf course which is wide open with nice short golf course grass so I have a good place for either I just want to know which one is more fun because I have not done either.
Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!
To be honest despite RC cars being one of my favorite hobby's (I have even started a club), I would probably recommend that you go for the Plane or as in the other answer maybe a boat or helicopter. Purely because RC Cars are not as much fun if you are going to be doing this solo. I assume you are going solo otherwise you would already be buying what your mates have got.
RC Cars need to either be raced or run on a bashing track (a place of suitable off road substrate (not as easy to find as you might think) and full of jumps and burms etc). A wide open space will lead to driving round in circles quickly for 10 mins before you get bored. Also wide open running tends to lead to overheated engines, motors and or speed controllers. Flying is generally done solo, and appart from practicing the usual take offs landings etc, when you start aerobatics there is plenty to learn and master to keep you engaged.
The other thing to consider is Nitro or Electric. I personally favour Nitro, but it is very noisy and I suspect would irritate the golfers after a while.
I hope this helps a little. Please understand that I would not want to put any one off RC Cars, they are great, but under the conditions you are talking of using it I just think it would be a short lived hobby. If you do go for a car however (and find some were more fun to use it), check out our website its full of usefull info for beginners.

Looks alright.
Not sure where its going.
However, dont forget sound effects, dont go overboard but certain things make notable noise.
Footsteps, clothing flapping, echoing etc.
Keep up the hard work.
Oh and also dont forget to describe appearances, what color hair, skin tone, eyes, facial features. It is okay to let the reader use their imagination but helping them know who they are "looking" at adds volumes to what they get out of the story.
