Why are people able to take monster steps when they run whats the advantage?
...
Being able to take monster steps when running is not an advantage by itself.
It's when a runner is running moving his (or her) legs quickly - say 180 - 190 strides a minute - AND taking monster steps, the runner has a tremendous advantage.
And the advantage is this: with each monster step, the runner is covering more ground faster than someone who takes smaller steps.
Again, keep in mind, you've got to have your legs moving quickly before this becomes an advantage.
Suppose you have two runners whose legs both move at 180 strides a minute.
One runner, with each step, covers 12 feet.
The other runner, with each monster step, covers 15 feet.
Each can take 10 steps in the same amount of time.
The runner who takes a 12-foot step can cover 120 feet in 10 steps.
In the same amount of time, the runner who takes a 15-foot step can cover 150 feet.
In 10 steps, and just 10 steps, the runner who takes monster steps is already 30 feet ahead of the other runner.

How much does it cost to convert a Pickup to run on propane?
I have this big ole dully crew cab with a 454...
naturally it cost to much to keep feeding the monster... I been thinking rather than give it up just having it converted to run on propane... any idea what that cost, you know new tank and conversion kit installed???

and as for cost Here anyway propane runs around $2.48 a Gal while gas is already up at $4
I had that job priced for $2,500.00 but the business that does it went out of business. I'm thinking of buying the components and doing it myself. The tank is the most expensive part, it can costs thousands but I think if I keep looking I can find a good used one. My neighbor is from Mexico and tells me that the shops there are converting pickup trucks as fast as they can for the North Americans,but I haven't been there to check it out.

This isn't a story – it's a plot outline. I have no idea whether I would publish it or not, because I have no idea of your writing abilities. Can you create the movitation that moves your plot along? Can you make your characters believable – and make them real enough that I am actually going to care about them? That's how a publisher decides whether or not to publish a book – it has nothing to do with the outline or the age of the writer, or whether they prefer sorbet or gelato for desert.
