REVO SPUR GEAR AND CLUTCH UPGRADE!!!!!?
ok i have a revo with a picco .26 max jl red dot enigne
i plan to upgrade it to a 34t steel spur gear and a 16t clutch gear
or should i use a 36t and 16t??
or 34t and 17t?
or 36t and 17t??
which combination works best and how do you determine????!!!
will it haul ass??

I am not familiar with this particular machine.
But I am familiar with gears and sprocket drives.
You did not, in your question tell me what the existing
Gears are.
I'm only going to discuss the Clutch Gear.
If I talk about the bigger gear, it will just confuse you.
The explanation about the bigger gear is just the opposite
of the explanation of the Clutch Gear.
More teeth on the Clutch Gear will make your machine go
faster.
We're talking about level ground here.
If you get on a steep slope or hill, and you are geared to
go too fast, your machine will bog down.
Let's go the other way, if you go with fewer teeth on your
Clutch Gear, and your machine has the traction,
It could climb straight up a wall.
What you're trying for is speed. I do not know what gear
ratios are available but it is possible to Gear your machine
to go so fast that you would have to give your machine a
push to get it going.
Unless you have a transmission and a way to shift gears,
This is the best that you can do.
This is always a trade-off, you only have so much torque
or horsepower to work with.
