Which traxxas rustler should i get?
I can't decide between the nitro and the electric and are the nitro ones hard to maintain
nitro is easy if you take care of it. the nitro ends up being very expensive if you take into account all the fuel you will use and that parts break more often on a nitro because they are heavier and sometimes faster. the fuel i use is around $30 a gallon and that is pretty expensive if you would use it alot. i have a 1/8 scale monster truck and it likes to drink lots of gas... glow plugs are expensive too. If you are a beginner which it sounds like you are, def get the electric rustler and some good batteries.

Traxxas Nitro Rustler Questions?
I received a Traxxas Nitro Rustler about 12 years ago for Christmas....It needs a new cooling head (I believe) because the threads for the glowplug are stripped....
What engine did it come with? .15? Will any Traxxas .15 head work?
Will the New Rustler bodies today work on my old one?

There have been so many different version of motors released with this. In an old Car Action mag I see a .15 but remember them coming with other sizes too. Any .15 head should world if you use the small size glow plugs. I have a Pirate 10-t and made an electric ignition out of a 9v and a lawn mower ignition. No more glow plugs or starters.
