Traxxas Slash Rear
is the slash 4x4 good for jumping/bashing? or shud i just buy hop ups for my 2wd slash?
i recently bought a 2wd slash traxxas and blew out the rear shocks i replaced them but now im wondering if i shud get the slash 4x4 or buy hop up parts for the 2wd to make it better
Both are great RC's. At least you are dealing with Traxxas. My #1 fav! The 4x4 Slash is a great truck. Requires more maintinence than your 2WD Slash, and things are going to break just as easily on the 4x4 as they do on the 2WD. For my 2WD I like to upgrade as I break things. If it's not broke, don't fix it. I have great luck with RPM parts, A Arms, Shock Towers, Skid Plates, etc. Whatever I can get from RPM, I get. Shocks are going to blow out, especially if you are a basher. Staying on the race track you have less chances of breaking things because you aren't trying to jump a house or concrete curbs, etc. You can upgrade your shocks, use thinner or thicker shock oil, go with aluminum (but aluminum is expensive and does bend....looks good but bends). I have had pretty good luck with the stock ones. Bent one and blew one out. Had the 2WD for two years not so that's not too bad. If I were you I would keep the 2WD and bullet proof it. Upgrade parts as you break them. And take a look at the RPM products.
