Traxxas Slash Stampede
Traxxas Slash 4X4 or Stampede VXL?
I'm considering getting into RC Cars and i would like some opinions on these two models.
If I get into this hobby I would want to race occasionally on a track and do some off roading.
The Slash looks like the better racing vehicle but it appears to me that it would struggle off road where there's rocks and holes etc etc
The Stampede (from what i've seen in videos) has a hard time keeping it's nose to the ground and due to it's ride height might have problems not rolling in turns but i've seen and read that it is hands down a beast when it comes to off roading
Which Con out weighs the other? Would I be better taking the slash and excelling at racing and maybe it won't be so bad offroading or should I go with the stampede and do great at off roading and struggle a bit with tight turns and other short track stuff.
welll there very different the stampede is one of the traxxas products that require very little maintaince, and i have to dissasemble my 4x4 after every run, i take the shocks off adn clean everything and every half dozen runs i basicly dissasemble teh whole thing, the bearings also need to be cleaned every run in water. but theres more, if you want to go to a track and race get the 4x4 if you want to go on a track at all get the 4x4 if you want to bash around in the backyard get a stampede, and the 4x4 can do this too. but i would just keep the thing away from mud/water if you dont want to clean it every time and this bieng your first car as you said i think the best thing would be a summit/ emaxx but its all about the cash you have, whatever you do, get the slash 4x4 ultimate, but for all around everything get a slash, race proven, durable.
