Which gear to use while towing a 17' runabout boat and trailer with a Chevy S10 4x4?
I am wondering what the best gear is to use while towing a 17' runabout boat on a trailer with my 2002 chevy s10 V6 4.3L truck. It seems to pull the boat with a little struggle in Drive, but I was told that I should tow it in 3rd gear. What is easiest on the engine while driving? Also, when I am pulling the boat up the ramp out of the water, should I put the truck in 4Lo and Drive or is it easier on the engine to pull it out of the water in 1st or 2nd gear in 2WD?
Please be as specific as possible.
Thanks.
If you are on fairly flat roads use D if you are on hilly highways just keep it in 3rd so your tranny isnt shifting in and out of overdrive that is whats bad. Yeah if you are havin trouble on the ramp 4lo is a great idea youll probably just be able to idle right up the ramp in drive. Read the owners manual if you have one there are alot of tips in it.

Can debt collector seize joint property even if the debt is just one spouses?
My husband defaulted on a credit card. Now there is a judgement against him. I never used the card and had nothing to do with it. Can the debt collector seize our joint property? Like Boats Trucks Trailers?
No, creditors can not seize any physical property unless it was collateral for a consumer loan except by a court order during bankruptcy. Exceptions can include back taxes owed, child support, and spousal support.
However, a creditor can get a judgment and then get a garnishment order to garnish wages and/or bank accounts in the name of the debtor.
