Walkera Lama
NEWBIE ALERT! Who makes a large brushless coaxial rc heli with heading control and shaft extender?
Read enough to steer clear of Walkera. Want big to handle wind and haul 20 grams of video up to 100 feet altitude. No idea what I'm doing, but having a great time! Something with sim plug? Big Lama? Art tech? Thank you in advance. Like to charge four lipo batteries at the same time, understand danger. Does more power battery equal harder to lift trade off? Read that heading better than yaw control. How about anti crash gyro on board? Always a good idea to add cooling fins?
I'd say one of the big Lama's or a Thunder Tiger Raptor would be up to it. Although I'm not big on heli's, cars are more my thing.
If you get one with the sim plug, you'll be able to have a little practice on your computer first before heading out into the big blue sky above. Which is nice, since you use the transmitter on your computer so you'll get a feel for it before going out with the heli.
As long as you take care of your lipo battery packs, you won't have any problems. Get a good charger/discharger, and make sure you charge at the correct voltage and you can't go wrong. Because lipo cells are so light, you can have an insanely powerful lipo battery/batteries on board and it will still be lighter than the older NiMH batteries. So no worries there at all.
Hopefully someone who knows more about heli's answers your questions better than me, I won't even attempt to try and pretend I know about Yaw/heading or crash gyro's!

what is short circuiting and how can i prevent it when charging a battery?
I just picked up my Walkera Lama 2 helicopter today and the manual says not to short circuit during charge. What does that mean? How can I prevent this?
Short circuit means you connect directly the + and - poles of the battery. Manuals write all sort of stupid things to prevent lawsuits. Don't worry that much about this item.
